About Epicurean Angel

Constancia Loubriel Jr. born and raised in California is amorous about the diversity of cultures that breath life to proud traditions in her home state. Although a California girl her true ethnicity is Italian, adopted by Puerto Rican immigrants. This in turn imparted her beliefs in the food, family, and principles she grew up on. Her mother, Constancia Loubriel Sr., was her overt inspiration, implanting her roots and infusing her heritage with pride.

She began as a premed student, but finished her Bachelor’s degree in Natural Health. This lead her to be founder and owner of a fitness company since 1996. In 2005, on a month long sabbatical to Umbria Italy, she immersed herself in the local culture that ultimately reformed her life. In 2010, she retired from her company, and became a devoted student of wine, food and travel.

Since then, she has amassed, Certified French Wine Scholar, Certified Sherry Specialist, Sake Sommelier, The Guild Sommelier Court Of Masters level 1. She is currently finishing Diploma Wine Education & Spirits Trust Master of Wine through Neptune School of Wine, who is the first WSET approved program provider in Southern California, overseen by renowned Master Sommelier and WSET Diploma holder, Peter Neptune. In addition, she holds a Professional Chef Diploma through Chef Tech Cooking taught by the esteemed owner/chef Teri Villanova.

Constancia is also an avid food, wine and travel writer to which she scouts for up incoming local chefs and winemakers and is distributed through her website Epicurean Angel, social media, and regional publications. Her ultimate apogee, would be to establish a scholarship fund for underprivileged students pursuing a degree in culinary and/or oenology.
