ADA NADA Barbaresco 2015: VALEIRANO

Pale garnet, medium + intensity of rose petals, red currants, raspberries, strawberries, fresh cherries, underbrush, peppercorns, green olives, vanilla, earth. On the palate dry, medium + acid, medium + alcohol, high fine-grain tannins, full body medium + intensity floral notes of dried roses fresh-cut herbs, strawberries, tart cranberries, cherries, olive brine, green peppercorns, white mushroom, fresh earth, dusty oak, sturdy texture, long polished finish. This wine is outstanding.

It’s beautifully perfumed and balanced by bright acid and generous fine tannins. The alcohol is well integrated with its full body and lavishly brings fruit and floral components in multiple layers along the palate. It finishes strong with length. This an ageable wine, and is just now gracefully opening up. Hold for another 10-15 years, to maintain its elegant fragrance. The tannins while still high are already fine and will just smooth out and bring forth more of its flavors and aromas.
