ALSACE Emile Beyer Pinot Gris Tradition 2018

Palle gold, medium+ intensity on the nose Ripe pear baked apple, yellow peach, lemon drops a hint of marzipan toasted almonds, smoke, sweet herbs. On the palate off-dry, medium- acid, medium+ acid, full-body, medium+ intensity with Ripe tree fruits of apples and pears, peach pie, salted roasted peanut shells, almond marzipan sun-baked stone, fat texture, long finish. This a good youthful wine, On the nose a touch of reduction.

Its rich fruit suggests residual sugar but it’s balanced with low acid. There’s a depth of fruit-driven flavor on impact, it carries weight on the palate round body and mineral core expressing the true varietal character of Pinot Gris. Drink now, its presently powerful, the development would not improve given its lack of complexity and low acid to contribute more depth.
