Proprietor Dr. Robert B. Pamplin, Jr. is one of Oregon’s most forward-thinking philanthropists and businessmen, purchased the historic Chateau Benoit Winery in 1999, he is also a  farmer, minister, and author of 13 books, including two book-of-the-month-club selections. He has earned degrees in business, economics, accounting, education, and theology.

He is President and CEO of the R.B. Pamplin Corporation, a family-owned company with annual sales approaching $700 million, and is the founder of the Portland Tribune newspaper, Columbia Empire Farms, Your NorthWest retail stores, and Anne Amie Vineyards.

Anne Amie estate vineyards are located in the rolling hills of the Yamhill-Carlton District and on the steep hillsides of the Chehalem Mountains, both nestled in Oregon’s verdant Willamette Valley. It’s a  LIVE certified winery is located on our Yamhill-Carlton property, a few miles from both Lafayette and Carlton, Oregon. The 2014 Anne Amie Sparkling Brut Rose, is made of 100% Pinot Noir from their Twelve Oaks Estate, Marylin vineyard block of just over 5 acres. 

The style is Burgundy inspired by the Alsatian touch using indigenous yeast and French oak of 25% is new. In the glass the color of a pink diamond moving deeper into the core with tightly beaded pearls. On the nose of fresh rhubarb, juicy strawberries, sour yellow cherries perfumed with cherry blossoms, spiced with candied ginger, salted oyster crackers, and a hint of smoke on the palate, dry tart fruit, vanilla custard, creamy mousse, infused with a sweet and savory finish with length and refreshing acidity.
